Match Play Events
GREEN TOUR – SINGLES MATCH PLAY TOURNAMENT
The Green Tour Single Elimination Match Play Tournament is an event where you schedule your game with your fellow Green Tour Member at a mutually convenient time. This is a fun format and the random nature of the draw allows for fun pairings and great matches!
The following are the guidelines the Tournament
Eligibility Open to current Green Tour Members Only
Entry Fee A nominal amount of $20
Draw To be conducted after the first GT outing
Scheduling Players will schedule their own game at a mutually agreed course and time.
Blind Draw April 5th
Matches to be Completed By Dates :
Round of 16 by Jun 30th
Round of 8 by Aug 31st
Quarterfinals by Sep 30th
Semifinals by Oct 25th
FINAL by Nov 30th
Tee Boxes
The T Boxes selected for the match must have a slope rating nearest to a Max rating of 136. Using a
slope of greater than 136 must be mutually agreed by both parties.
Examples
If the max rating of a particular golf course is 130, then that is the T box that must be used.
If a course has T boxes with ratings of 133 and 137. Then the 133 is the T box to be used.
Home Field Advantage
First Player drawn in the pairing has the option of choosing the course or they may opt to forfeit the
option. For subsequent games, home field advantage will stay with the player on the top of their
bracket until that bracket is completed.
Home Field Advantage for Bracket Winners (Semi-Finals) will be determined in advance by an open draw.
The FINAL will be held at a neutral venue.
Handicaps
Matches are played off the low ball using 100% of the “net” difference in current Green Tour handicaps (Lower of GTI or GHIN) as of the Day of the match.
Example: Player 1: 24 handicap, Player 2: 8 handicap – Player 1 should receive 16 shots for the match
Ties
In the event that both players are tied on the 18th hole, then the match will continue in a sudden death
playoff format, starting on hole Number 1. Strokes will be applied as they fall on the card

Champion: Trophy & $160
Finalist: $80
The Green Tour will allow approximately one month for each round to be completed.
Matches not completed on schedule will be decided by a coin toss.

GREEN TOUR - TWO MAN MATCH PLAY TOURNAMENT
• Partners are drawn at random and matched from high and low flight handicaps.
• Players play to 90% of the lower of the latest GHIN or GTI handicap, with the lowest handicap player going to zero and each player adjusting their handicap to the Zero player.
• Two man match play matches cannot be played during tournament rounds.
• The team on the top of the draw has home course advantage and is responsible for setting up the match.
• The tournament will run from March to December each year with dates set for the completion of each round. Where completion dates are not met the result will be awarded to the team that had been least available or by coin toss.
• The final will be played at a neutral course and If that cannot be agreed between the teams it will be decided by coin toss.
The Draw for Partners
• Players can reject their partners at the time of the draw for a fee of $20. They can continue to
reject up to a total of three times at which time they must accept the name drawn.
The final Player drawn can choose any Player in the draw for $100
• The entry fee is $20 with all funds from the draw going to the Winners and Runners up.
